Persian Gift Guide

Gift Guide: Persian Owned Businesses

I’m so excited to share my Persian Owned Businesses Gift Guide with you today! In all my years of blogging, I’ve never actually posted a gift guide before. Maybe because it’s 2020—the most chaotic year ever—and keeping small businesses in mind, I felt it would be a good time to share one. What makes this so special though is that I’m sharing a part of my culture with you. My ethnicity is Iranian, and it means so much to me to be able to support these up and coming designers and entrepreneurs on my little platform. And bonus—a lot of these are sustainable, ethical, or conscious!

I’m sooo in love with the lion blazer and the gorgeous off-white jumpsuit. For accessories I’m eyeing the earrings and that black structured handbag. Finally, for home accessories, I can’t wait to decorate my space with one of the painted, hollowed-out pomegranates. Click through the links below to check them all out!

Clothing

I didn’t realize how many Iranian designers are really out there until I started researching for this post! It makes me sad because so much of Iran and the youthful culture is cut off from the rest of the world, but I hope I can help shine a light on some of these very talented designers. The first piece that caught my eye (and it’s definitely a splurge) is this gorgeous black blazer with the lion lapel by Anita-Anousheh.  Now you know I am all about the #BlazerGang life and lions are my favorite animal so this is just *chef’s kiss* for me! I would totally pair it with these loafers by Boté A Mano. This cream colored jumpsuit by Sahar Jaberian or this shirtdress by Mahshid  are perfect for a fun event post COVID life. I’m also absolutely in love with these structured culottes by Farda Design!

Finally, I can’t wait to wear this sexy bustier and belt two piece set by Rosewater House. The design is so unique and the brand focuses on preserving heritage techniques of women artisans throughout Iran.

Accessories

When it comes to accessories, these glamorous earrings by Lo’bat caught my eye. The brand uses all recycled materials, which is a major win in my book! This black structured handbag by Setipi is the perfect statement piece for any outfit. Plus it’s made from upcycled materials—inner tubings of bikes and cars!

Finally, this stunning mixed metal bracelet by Mahtab Amjadi is high on my personal shopping list. It’s made with antique Pahlavi coins—I can’t wait to wear it!

Home Décor

I always knew interiors were a big part of my culture—hello Persian carpets! But I loveddd getting lost online discovering so many up and coming home décor brands. I’m loving this decorative Evil Eye bowl, which I’d totally style on a side table. Lions are one of the biggest symbols of the Persian culture, and with our history of rich poetry, this beautiful plate would make a stunning gift for anyone. Finally, I am obsessed with these decorative pomegranates! Pomegranates are also a pillar of Persian culture, and I want one so badly to style on my coffee table! They come in multiple colors with hand painted letters, phrases, poetry, or other heritage symbols. My favorite is this neutral one with the Persian lion.
