I’m always on the hunt for good denim and trouse I’m always on the hunt for good denim and trousers — my elevated essential closet items! Luckily, FRAME has me covered with both. I love dressing up denim for fun hangouts with my friends, and going for a more relaxed looks with trousers when running around the city. And you know as a conscious fashion consumer I’m always looking for investment pieces I can effortlessly style for any occasion. My go to is wide leg cut, relaxed fit, and for denim a little distressed raw hem. These two are my current obsession and on constant rotation! Which do you prefer? Spring’s abundance has my energy overflowing wit Spring’s abundance has my energy overflowing with gratitude, creativity, and appreciating moments offline. ✨🧚🏼‍♀️🤍 Life took an unexpected turn in the fall and it took me almost 6 months to stabilize my mental health… but look at us still here, still standing, still growing. 🥹 Whatever you’re currently going through, don’t give up. I know it may be hard to have hope at times, but I promise it’ll get better. You’re doing better than you realize. You got this. 🫶🏼
I was not feeling my best this morning when I woke I was not feeling my best this morning when I woke up. I actually had a pretty restless night, overthinking from a scarcity mindset. As a general practice, I don’t check my phone when I first wake up and instead go straight into morning prayers and meditation to start my day. But today I was not feeling it at all. So instead, I opened my phone, checked my notifications, and when I tell you the way I SHOT UP out of bed! 

Never in a million years did I expect to see my personal hero, one of the most legendary and inspiring journalists ever, THE @lisalingstagram, viewing EnVi’s content. Even typing this now doesn’t feel real! EnVi, my EnVi, our little baby media company @envimediaco that covers music, film, and culture across the Asian diaspora has been perceived by one of the women I’ve looked up to for years and who influenced my career path?! Someone who has broken barriers, told stories, amplified voices, and inspired so many, including me. Out of amazement and gratitude, I cried a little. And sitting here on floor, in front of my laptop, typing this, I’m still in disbelief! 🥹

Of course, I give all credit to our amazing Team EnVi. It’s a collaborative effort from a global group of diverse women, bringing together their creativity and talent, and continuously building our inclusive table for women in media. What we do is not easy. There are more factors working against us than for us, but even through all the tears and doors slammed in our faces, we still continue to push through—and we’re not going anywhere! 

I’m so grateful for my team and so grateful for these moments. And I want to remind YOU, to keep pushing forward. Keep doing what you do. Keep believing in yourself. You never know who is watching you or who you are inspiring! And definitely cherish the small wins along the way. Don’t get too wrapped up in the final outcome, that you forget to appreciate the steps you’ve already taken. Every step matters. You got this! 🤍

5 mindful ways I show up for myself: + Take care 5 mindful ways I show up for myself:

+ Take care of my basic needs — some things can get easily overlooked like eating nutritiously or getting enough sleep.
+ Validate my feelings — giving myself grace & remembering I shouldn’t label “bad” feelings as negative.
+ Listen to & honor my body’s needs — taking moments throughout the day to step back & evaluate what I currently need.
+ Not allowing fear dictate my growth — I owe it to myself to silence my self-doubt & grow out of my comfort zone!
+ Speak kindly to myself — normalizing speaking to myself like I would my best friend by being encouraging & uplifting. 🤍

It’s okay to take longer, to start over, or to move in a different direction. Your timeline is perfect, and you’re capable of achieving so much. Celebrate how far you’ve come, and if at anytime this week you feel self-doubt, pause and praise yourself instead. Thank yourself for showing up, because you did that. You got this. 🤍
