Day in my life as the founder of a media company - Day in my life as the founder of a media company - a little asmr style with this one! Most of time is spent behind a screen so it’s always fun when multiple events fall on one day like this one. :)

Life update… I am now an adjunct English profess Life update… I am now an adjunct English professor teaching composition & writing! After years of tutoring, mentoring, & coaching students in writing, this feels like such a natural next step. I had a rough start to my own college career & it took a few years before I finally got it together & pursued my education seriously. I started from scratch at a two year college before moving towards my bachelor’s & eventually master’s. And talk about a full circle moment… I’m now teaching in the same small college I started in. Same campus, same classrooms… 🥹 Approaching this new chapter, I don’t want to only teach, but also inspire & encourage my brilliant students to feel their best when expressing themselves through writing. I hope to create a safe space where they feel heard & creative. I want to see them win! In a way, it almost feels like an extension of EnVi. 🥲

The brisk morning weather has me in all my fall fe The brisk morning weather has me in all my fall feels, ready to break out cozy sweaters & long coats! 🍂 Also hiii there’s a number of new faces here so let’s do a little re-introduction! 🫶🏼 + I’m Azadeh & I’m a second gen Iranian American. + I have my master’s in journalism from Columbia University & I’m the founder & editor in chief of @envimediaco. We cover culture, fashion, & entertainment across the Asian diaspora. + My greatest passion is inclusively uplifting communities, especially for fellow WOC. I believe there is room for everyone to win & we can create more positive impact when we all have a seat at the table! + I have a one year old mini poodle, Lady, who is pretty much my whole world. + After straightening my hair for over half my life, I finally felt empowered to embrace my natural curls earlier this year. I’m still learning what works best for me, but I feel like my most authentic self! :’) + I love art & design & in my free time I’m usually wandering through galleries or museums in the city. + I’ve been an advocate for sustainable fashion for many years now (og followers know!), & although my content isn’t as centered on it like before, it’s forever a huge part of my life.
